Babak Chehroudi, DMD., Ph.D. – Dr. Chehroudi has practiced dentistry since 1982. In 1991 he completed a Ph.D. degree in Oral Biology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He is currently a Clinical Professor, and part-time teacher/researcher at the Faculty of Dentistry, UBC. Dr. Chehroudi has extensive research background in subjects such as biomaterials, dental implant materials, and living tissues interactions. His research publications appear in the leading peer-reviewed scientific journals in the areas of dental implants, biomaterials and interactions of cells and tissues with dental materials. His clinical interests are fixed and removable dental prostheses including implants, restorative, cosmetic dentistry, and geriatric dentistry. Dr. Chehroudi also has extensive experience in oral surgery and exodotia (tooth extraction) from many years of working in rural areas.
